Encouraged by Cohen to launch her solo career, Batalla has since recorded seven albums, created acclaimed theatrical works including a Frida Kahlo musical, and performed in prestigious venues around the world. Her concert homage to Cohen, In the House of Cohen, continues to draw sold-out audiences internationally, and her ongoing outreach work introducing young people to music and language has earned her multiple honors, including two United Nations awards.
