The Olate Dogs

Olate Dogs

The Olate Dogs are the winning participants from Season 7 of NBC’s America's Got Talent, scooping up the $1,000,000 prize and headlining The Palazzo in Las Vegas! Led by Richard Olate and his son Nicholas Olate, the Olate Dogs are a high-energy, fast-paced canine theatrical act filled with amazing dog tricks, human acrobatics and humor.

Embodying the American Dream, Richard grew up in South America in a poor family. He got his start as a young boy of 10 when he rescued his first street dogs and found he had a gift. He combined this gift of training dogs and compassion with incredible hard work.  This enabled him to support his entire family by age 12 with his dog troupe. He came to the attention of a circus group and found himself performing in the United States at age 33. That is when the rise of the Olate Dogs began in earnest.

Winning America’s Got Talent in 2012 was the beginning of their dreams comes true. Opening doors previously only imagined they are now America’s most recognized dog entertainers. They command standing ovations performing at high profile sporting events nationwide, including NBA, College Division 1, WNBA, MLB, MiLB and more. Richard’s dream of having his own dog variety show has come true, receiving much praise as they tour the United States. They have even taken on a new type of performance, starring in a series of acclaimed short online films promoting shelter adoptions. They are also seen on national television for programs such as FOX’s Cause for Paws, the Today Show and the Tonight Show.

Pat Benatar

A Very Intimate Acoustic Evening with Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo

She’s always been a rule-breaker and a trail-blazer, she remains a bold and distinctive artist both on stage and on record, and now, after more than three decades in rock ‘n’ roll, she’s a bonafide living legend.

A four-time Grammy winner, Benatar is a classically trained mezzo-soprano. During the 1980s, Benatar had two RIAA-certified Multi-Platinum albums, five RIAA-certified Platinum albums, three RIAA-certified Gold albums and 19 Top 40 singles, including the Top 10 hits, "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", "Love Is a Battlefield", "We Belong" and "Invincible". Her hits continue to be as unforgettable now as they were at the dawn of MTV, when Pat emerged, fearless, fighting and forging a path for other female rock stars around the world.

Pat Benatar is acknowledged as the leading female rock vocalist of the ‘80s – a feat marked by her unprecedented winning of four consecutive Grammy Awards between 1980 and 1983, as well as three American Music Awards – but Benatar and Giraldo remain a rock ‘n’ roll powerhouse today, selling out concerts and still wowing audiences after over three decades in music together. Lead guitarist Bruce Kulick is best known for his 12 years with KISS and also has credits with Michael Bolton, Meatloaf and Billy Squier. Carl Palmer

Carl Palmer's ELP Legacy

Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy will embark on its 9th North American tour: Remembering Keith and the Music of Emerson, Lake & Palmer!

Originally planned as a celebration of Palmer’s 50th year in music, he had initially invited Keith Emerson to participate; now, it will be a tribute to him.

Palmer, who was voted by ROLLING STONE as one of the 10 Greatest Drummers of All Time, is also a founding member of ASIA. Since he began in the business in the 1960s Carl Palmer has sold over 50 million records! He has  worked with Atomic Rooster; The Crazy World of Arthur Brown; Emerson Lake & Palmer and ASIA.

Since 2001, Carl has fronted a 3 piece power trio: guitar, bass & drums doing the classically driven rock hits of ELP with NO KEYBOARDS.

He has totally reinvented the music of ELP with this trio, which tours regularly around the world (including 5 hugely successful North & South American tours).  If you can imagine, ELP with Steve Vai or Joe Satriani in the band instead of Keith Emerson, that is sort of what it is about.

Melissa Etheridge

Melissa Etheridge stormed onto the American rock scene in 1988 with the release of her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, which led to an appearance on the 1989 Grammy Awards show. For several years, her popularity grew around such memorable originals as "Bring Me Some Water," "No Souvenirs" and "Ain't It Heavy," for which she won a Grammy® in 1992. Etheridge hit her commercial and artistic stride with her fourth album, Yes I Am (1993). The collection featured the massive hits, "I'm the Only One" and "Come to My Window," a searing song of longing that brought Etheridge her second Grammy® Award for Best Female Rock Performance. In 1995, Etheridge issued her highest charting album, Your Little Secret, which was distinguished by the hit single, "I Want to Come Over." Her astounding success that year led to Etheridge receiving the Songwriter of the Year honor at the ASCAP Pop Awards in 1996. Known for her confessional lyrics and raspy, smoky vocals, Etheridge has remained one of America’s favorite female singer-songwriters for more than two decades. In February 2007, Melissa Etheridge celebrated a career milestone with a victory in the “Best Song” category at the Academy® Awards for “I Need to Wake Up,” written for the Al Gore documentary on global warming, An Inconvenient Truth. As a performer and songwriter, Etheridge has shown herself to be an artist who has never allowed “inconvenient truths” to keep her down. Earlier in her recording career, Etheridge acknowledged her sexual orientation when it was considered less than prudent to do so. In October 2004, Etheridge was diagnosed with breast cancer, a health battle that, with her typical tenacity, she won. Despite losing her hair from chemotherapy, Etheridge appeared on the 2005 Grammy® telecast to sing “Piece of My Heart” in tribute to Janis Joplin. By doing so she gave hope to many women afflicted with the disease. Most recently, she released her latest album This Is M.E. in September 2014, which features singles Take My Number, A Little Bit of Me, and Monster.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo

South African Vocalists Ladysmith Black Mambazo represent the traditional culture of South Africa.

It has been almost twenty years since Paul Simon made his initial trip to South Africa and met Joseph Shabalala, and the other members of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, in a recording studio in Johannesburg. Having listened to a cassette of their music sent by a DJ based in Los Angeles, Simon was captivated by the stirring sound of bass, alto and tenor harmonies. Simon incorporated the traditional sounds of black South Africa into the "Graceland" album, a project regarded by many as seminal to today's explosive interest in World Music.

Dead on Live

Dead On Live celebrates the life and music of the Grateful Dead’s spiritual leader Jerry Garcia, by presenting an evening of music that digs deep into his incredible, stylistically-diverse career. From his bluegrass roots, psychedelic 60s, to his amazing artistic development of the 70’s, both as a songwriter and musician, DOL pays tribute to his legacy, taking you on a sonic journey that faithfully recreates the touch and tone, the heart and soul of this American music icon.

Based on their unique approach of note for note renditions, Dead On Live has become nationally recognized as one of the standout acts on the scene today paying tribute to the music of the Grateful Dead. DOL shows have featured specific records of specific eras, performing “Workingman’s Dead” and “American Beauty”, the 71-72 era with songs from “Skull and Roses” and the iconic “Europe 72”, the 73-74 show with selections from “Wake of The Flood” and “Mars Hotel”, and their epic Halloween Wall of Sound show. DOL recently presented their most ambitious project, Terrapin Station as released in 1977, note for note in its entirety featuring the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra.

For this special Jerry birthday presentation, Marc Muller and his cast of world-class musicians remain true to the music by not only performing classic album covers, but by opening the music up to free improvisation and musical exploration, as originally intended! DOL guarantees plenty of good old Jerry Jams that will be sure to get the kids up to dance and shake their bones. You’ll hear solo gems from 1971’s “Garcia”, funky RnB of 1973’s “Live at the Keystone”, reggae soul of 75’s “Reflections”, as well as plenty of Dead favorites through their 30-year journey, all making for a special night at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater celebrating the life and music of Jerry Garcia.

Come relive the magic with Dead On Live.
